## About me

I'm **Caner Akkurd**, a film-trained animation artist based in **İzmir, Türkiye**. I currently create animation and video for **e-learning** content at **Digitallica**.

I started with **2D animation**; today I also produce **3D** using AI-assisted methods. I use **After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro** at an advanced level.

I don't just use AI as a tool — I integrate it into the production process. I build end-to-end workflows for **image, video and sound** generation, speed up repetitive steps with automation, and develop and manage these processes with cloud-based tools.

I combine the storytelling perspective from my film education with new production technologies to create content that teaches and engages.

## My path

I graduated from high school as a computer technician. Today I tell stories with AI. Everything in between turned out to be parts of the same path.

1. **Computer technician** — a curiosity that started by taking machines apart.
2. **Stage & Performing Arts** (Hacettepe University) — sound, light, dance, musical instruments; learning how many disciplines run a single stage.
3. **Film Design & Directing** (Dokuz Eylül University) — bringing the pieces together into one narrative.
4. **E-commerce & agency work** — ad shoots, product videos, photography; hands-on in marketing and sales as well. Telling a story in a few seconds, and making it sell.
5. **2D animation & motion design** — telling what a camera couldn't, by drawing and moving it.
6. **AI-assisted production** — animation and video for e-learning at Digitallica, with AI built into the pipeline.

The tools keep changing; the urge to tell stories stays the same.

## What I do

- **2D animation** — character and scene animation; turning instructional content into memorable stories.
- **AI-assisted 3D** — 3D production with AI methods, keeping consistency across scenes.
- **Motion design** — videos with rhythm: typography, graphics and editing.
- **AI-assisted production** — from image, video and sound pipelines to websites, software and mobile apps; taking ideas to products with AI.
